It also has the best slow-burn romance I’ve read in a long while. It’s a deliciously tortured waiting game that at one point made me want to squeal, "Oh for heaven's sake, just... just…" -- There was so much found family between the team, lovely and hilarious banter between Kase and Hallie, and the adventure that transpired blew me away! -- Both main characters experience personal growth separate of each other as well, which is refreshing for a romantic subplot. I found myself relating with each MC throughout various trials, and rooted for them the whole way.
